Getting Started with FieldHive

Welcome to FieldHive.

FieldHive is designed to help trades and service businesses manage customers, quotes, bookings and invoices from a single place.

This guide provides a quick overview of how the core areas of FieldHive work together.

Customers

Everything starts with a customer.

Customer records store contact details and information that can be reused throughout FieldHive.

Customers can be created from:

  • Customers

  • Quotes

  • Invoices

Once created, the customer becomes available throughout the app.

Quotes

Quotes allow you to prepare pricing for your customers.

A quote can contain:

  • Materials

  • Labour

  • Services

  • Descriptions

Quotes can be sent to customers and tracked using quote statuses.

Bookings

Bookings help you schedule work and manage your availability.

Bookings can be linked to customers and provide a clear view of upcoming work through the calendar.

Availability indicators help you quickly understand how busy each day is.

Invoices

Invoices allow you to bill customers for completed work.

Invoices can be created:

  • As standalone invoices

  • From existing quotes

  • From existing jobs

Payments can then be recorded directly against the invoice.

How Everything Works Together

A typical workflow may look like this:

  1. Create a customer

  2. Create and send a quote

  3. Schedule the work

  4. Create an invoice

  5. Record payment

However, FieldHive is flexible and allows you to work in the way that best suits your business.
