Adding Customers
Customers can be added at any time in FieldHive and are used throughout the system for quotes, invoices and bookings.
Creating a customer record helps keep information organised and reduces the need to repeatedly enter the same details.
Where Can Customers Be Added?
/
Customers can be added from:
The Customers section
While creating a quote
While creating an invoice
This allows you to continue working without needing to leave your current workflow.
Customer Information
When creating a customer, you can store information such as:
Customer name
Company name
Email address
Phone number
Address
Notes
You only need to enter the information that is relevant to your business and the work being carried out.
Why Add Customers?
Customer records help keep your business organised by storing important information in one place.
Once a customer has been added, their details can be reused across future quotes, invoices and bookings, helping reduce administration and saving time.
Keeping Information Accurate
Before saving a customer, it is worth checking that key contact information is correct.
Accurate customer records help ensure quotes, invoices and other communications are sent to the right person and location.
Next Steps
Once a customer has been added, you can create quotes, invoices and bookings linked to that customer record.
As more work is completed, FieldHive builds a history of activity, making it easier to find information when you return to a customer in the future.
