Creating Your First Quote
Quotes help you create clear, professional pricing for your customers while keeping labour, materials and services organised in one place.
Every quote is linked to a customer and can later be connected to bookings and invoices, helping keep your workflow connected from start to finish.
Starting a Quote
Quotes begin by selecting an existing customer or creating a new customer during the quoting process.
Once a customer has been selected, you can add information such as:
Job title
Description
Primary trade
Job category
Service types
This helps organise your work and makes it easier to find and manage quotes later.
Building the Quote
Items can be added manually or selected from your catalogue.
The catalogue allows you to reuse saved materials, labour and services instead of creating everything from scratch each time.
As items are added, FieldHive automatically updates the quote totals.
Labour, Materials & Fit Time
Quotes can contain both material and labour items.
Each item can include pricing, quantities and estimated fit time, helping you build more consistent quotes and better understand the work being proposed.
As more items are added, estimated labour time and quote values update automatically.
AI Quote Rewrite
Descriptions can be improved using AI Quote Rewrite.
This can help make customer-facing descriptions clearer, more professional and easier to understand before the quote is sent.
Reviewing Your Quote
Once created, quotes can be reviewed through the quote details screen.
From here you can:
View quote information
Review items and pricing
Manage quote status
Access revision history
Create linked bookings
Create linked invoices
Contact the customer
Keeping everything connected helps reduce duplicated work and makes customer information easier to manage.
Sending the Quote
When you are happy with the quote, it can be prepared and sent to the customer.
FieldHive supports multiple quote formats, allowing you to choose how much detail is shown before sending.
Building Faster Quotes Over Time
The more you use your catalogue, saved services and pricing, the faster future quotes become.
This helps reduce repetitive administration while keeping pricing more consistent across your business.
